ACS Celebrates Arabic Week
ACS recently joined together to elevate the significance of the Arabic language and promote Arabic literacy during its annual Arabic Week with the theme ‘Together…We Learn! معًا…نتعلّم’.
Focusing on how learning Arabic brings us together as a community, there were events for everyone! Students joined in fun activities such as a book fair, Mystery Readers, book signing events, calligraphy, games and performances, in addition to special meetings with visiting authors Noura Al Khoori, Khadijah Kudsi and Ali Ezzeddine. Parents attended open houses in their children's Arabic classes and truly felt the engagement of our Arabic instruction. Additionally, parents could attend workshops offered by visiting authors and our own Arabic teachers on topics including the power of speaking and reading Arabic at home, multilingualism and an introductory lesson to Arabic.
