Class of 2022 Honored during Graduation at Emirates Palace
ACS honored the 91 students of the Class of 2022 during the school’s commencement ceremony at the Emirates Palace on June 3.
Superintendent Monique Flickinger and High School Principal Amy Greene officiated the ceremony, while distinguished guest Sean Murphy, Chargé d’Affaires of the United States Embassy in Abu Dhabi was in attendance.
The graduating class heard remarks from keynote speaker and ACS alumnus Haif Abdalla Zamzam. She earned a degree in Finance and Economics from the American University of Sharjah and also was the first Emirati to graduate with an MBA from INSEAD. Her professional experience includes investment management and strategy. Haif and her family continue to work with ACS by administering an annual award honoring the legacy of her brother Haitham through the Haitham Zamzam Al Hammadi International Medal of Friendship Award.
Several students addressed their fellow graduates, including Joanne Macaulay and Khalifa Alkaabi who offered expressions of gratitude, Fatima Alameri who introduced the commencement speaker, Maureen Bowen and Bela Koshy who provided class retrospectives, and Valedictorian Taylor Campbell who provided her reflections and hopes for the future.
ACS is proud to introduce the remarkable students of the Class of 2022. We salute these students for their perseverance, dedication and commitment.
