The ACS Counseling office prides itself on our collaborative nature. Although each counselor is assigned a specific population (Laura Berntson A-J, Tim Munnerlyn K-Z), students are welcome to seek advice from whomever they feel comfortable depending on the situation. Each counselor sees themselves as an advocate for our students and works hard to provide support in the areas of academic achievement, social growth, emotional well-being, and future planning.
Heather Kaddoura, counseling assistant, is a valuable contributor to the team. She has a wealth of knowledge about the inter-workings of the office and is available for additional support as needed. The counseling team works in conjunction with students, staff, and parents value this partnership. The counseling "suite" is located in the new high school building on the bottom floor. The door is always open, please contact us with any questions you may have about the services we offer.

ACS counselors work in partnership with students, staff, and parents to help promote the ACS Mission, while helping to develop academic skills, social growth, emotional health, as well as career awareness and post secondary goals. The ACS counseling program is dynamic and continually evolves to meet the needs and challenges faced by our students. Our goal is to maximize each student's potential, and therefore ACS counselors play a critical role in helping develop the characteristics listed in the Profile of Graduates for each student as well as promoting the ACS Core Values.
