Welcome to the Elementary School at the
American Community School of Abu Dhabi
We hope that the news and photos on our ES web site will convey the excitement and quality of our educational environment. With almost 400 students from 30 countries, the ES offers an American-based program in a rich international environment. Students KG1-5 receive language arts, math, social studies and science instruction through the classroom teacher with support from classroom assistants. In addition, students in KG2-5 receive instruction in Arabic, technology, art, music, and p.e. from specialists.
In addition to the adventures found in their learning experiences throughout the day, we offer a rich after school activity program (ASRP) to provide our students with even more art, academics, and athletics.
We work in partnership with parents to provide the best possible education environment for our students. Parents are encouraged to participate in our VIParent program, be a homeroom parent, support Association events and activities, and attend ES events. There is ample home-school communication through monthly newsletters, our web site, and emails. Parents are welcome to stop by the office with questions, concerns, and suggestions.
Underlying the educational program we offer, the Viper Values are emphasized throughout the ES: Be Respectful, Be Responsible, Be Fair, and Be Honest. These form the basis of our discipline system and are celebrated on a regular basis through classroom activities, activities with the ES guidance counselor and principal, and the ES Spirit Assemblies.
