The American Community School of Abu Dhabi is governed by an eight-member Board of Trustees, who are elected by the American Community School Association. Six of the eight positions are two year terms, three being elected each year, while the remaining two are one year terms elected each year. The Board elects its own officers consisting of a Chairman, Vice-Chairman, Secretary and Treasurer. The standing committees of the Board are Policy, Curriculum, Finance, and Building. The Board meets monthly in open session during the school year. Any Association member may attend and observe Board meetings.
